What do you say when someone you don't know shows up at your front door and promises to make all your problems go away? If you're like most people, you roll your eyes, shut the door and go about your business.
But when a total stranger knocked on Lin Prutzman's door doing just that, she took a chance a big chance in believing him. And her gamble is paying off in a big way.
It all started one muggy day in July when the doorbell rang at Mrs. Prutzman's Mifflinburg home. She didn't know who would be stopping by on a Sunday afternoon, but answered the door anyway to find a middle-aged man with a receding hairline, round glasses and a slight build. He looked, she thought to herself, not unlike her husband.
"How much for the riding mower in the front yard?" the man asked.
