Thought I would start a new thread so the title reflects the change in name.

MIAMI (Reuters) - The sixth tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, Florence, formed in the distant Atlantic on Tuesday and could become a hurricane as it moves toward the United States, U.S. forecasters said.

The storm had top sustained winds of 45 mph (75 kph) and was slowly strengthening. Long-range computer tracking models projected that the swirling mass of thunderstorms could end up as a hurricane north of the Caribbean islands by Friday, the hurricane center said.

Hopefully it will loose it's puch before it makes it that far. Won't the colder waters as it gets further north cause it to weaken?

Another bullet dodged, it appears, praise the Lord!

Good Morning Dark Knight,

Looks like it is moving dead-eye for Bermuda and they are already under a watch. Should pass over Bermuda tomorrow.

On the weather channel this morning it looked like there is lots of turbulant activity a brewin' behind Florence. Tomorrow the 10th of September is the half way point of the hurricane season. Unbelievable!~

I'm starting to think, especially if it's true about El Nino, that we may not have any major hurricanes hit us this year! Praise the Lord if so, we needed a break, lol!
