BARTOW, Fla. (AP) - Defense attorneys argued Tuesday that a man charged with killing four people at a central Florida factory in 1997 did not have enough time to carry out the murders.
Prosecutors contend 67-year-old Nelson Serrano pulled off an elaborate scheme to kill his former business associates in only 10 hours. But in opening arguments at his trial Tuesday, his defense attorneys said there was no direct evidence linking him to the slayings.
