That poor wee thing. She never got to even start to experience life. Breaks my heart.

What I don't understand is how and why her "parents" still had the right to decide what to do with her after THEY put her there to begin with!

I guess technically, the [horrible] parents lawyer could argue THEY did not actually KILL the baby, the courts did. Won't carry any weight, but in this day & age when we must protect the guilty, it's very possible they'll argue that very detail. That and as long as the baby was "alive", there wasn't murder - yeah right, not for lack of trying.

From January 2011:
In September 2007, the newborn’s father — 30-year-old Ramon Hernandez — pled guilty to killing her by throwing her against a wall inside their Maryville home in July of the previous year.
He was sentenced to 22 years in prison.
