A man sought for a bank robbery in Duluth last month is now wanted for the murder of his girlfriend and the rape of her 2-year-old daughter.

FBI agents identified Shawn Louis Goodman as the man who robbed the National Bank of Commerce on Dec. 16. Goodman is now wanted for murder in Salisbury, N.C.

Authorities in Salisbury said Goodman stabbed his 26-year-old girlfriend to death last week, possibly in the presence of her 2-year-old daughter. The little girl remained in the apartment with her deceased mother for nearly two days before police discovered Kristina Mack's body. The child appeared to have been sexually assaulted, they said.

A man charged with murdering a Salisbury woman and sexually assaulting her 2-year-old daughter in 2004 pleaded guilty Monday in Superior Court.

Shawn Louis Goodman, 39, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the first-degree murder of Kristina Celeste Mack, in lieu of a death sentence. Goodman pleaded no contest to the attempted first-degree murder and first-degree sex offense of Mack's daughter. Those terms were consolidated and he received a minimum of 330 months (27.5 years) up to the maximum of 405 months (33.75 years) -- although it would not affect his life sentence.

Mack, 26, met Goodman through the Internet and eventually moved in with her. About a month later, police found her body on the kitchen floor of her Thomas Street apartment.
