A Park Ridge man could face a murder charge today for allegedly throwing his 77-year-old cancer-ridden mother down a flight of stairs during a spat over a will -- leaving her with injuries that killed her two months after her fall, officials say.

Wayne Weinke Jr., 50, is expected to appear in court in Rolling Meadows in connection with the Monday death of his mother, Gloria Weinke, said John Gorman, a spokesman for the Cook County state's attorney's office. "We are reviewing a possible upgrade to murder charges," Gorman said.

Son of the year??? Not likely. I hope they find out what happened. I'm wondering if the father's death was of natural causes or if we're going to see a trend here.
