This is horrible! What a terrible thing for the sister to witness!
snip~

A firefighter was charged Wednesday with kidnapping a teenager at gunpoint, then shooting him on a roadside and leaving his body, according to officials and arrest records.

Marvin Nicholson Jr., 33, was arrested at his home Wednesday morning, Hamilton County Sheriff's spokesman Ron Rice said. Nicholson was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder, records show.

Citizen's mother, Veronica Citizen Toney, told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that her 18-year-old daughter was with James Citizen, 15, outside their house shortly before noon Tuesday.

I wonder what the story is behind this murder. The article said that he told the boy's sister that it was none of her business and to stay out of it (or something like that). He then took the boy in his car and killed him.

Hamilton County Criminal Court Judge Barry Steelman said today he hopes to maintain the trial date next month for a former Chattanooga firefighter accused of kidnapping and killing a 15-year-old boy.

Marvin Nicholson Jr. is scheduled for trial Nov. 27 on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder, but prosecutors said they are having trouble getting information about telephone calls that they claim is an instrumental part of their case.

I don't understand why the prosecution is having this trouble getting phone records...

Yeah, they sure aren't saying much about motive, are they?

Here's an interesting article w/Nicholson's picture and maybe some background...maybe not:
http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_94056.asp

Marvin Nicholson Jr. is the uncle of Tory Hardy, who was shot at 10th and Foster streets just after the Bessie Smith Strut in 2003. He is the brother of Terri Lynn Nicholson, mother of Tory Hardy.

Nicholson lives just a few blocks from the victim. (Victim meaning the nephew or the kid he abducted?)

I wonder if Nicholson thought this 15 yr old had something to do with his nephew's death even though it had been 3 yrs. This article says nothing about Citizen though:

What the heck?!

From May 2009:

The journey from Chattanooga firefighter to accused killer to free man has taken three years for Marvin Nicholson. But on Friday, the 36-year-old walked out of the Hamillton County-Chattanooga Courts Building with a clean criminal record...

Mr. Nicholson, a former senior firefighter, was fired from his job after being arrested on the charges and is seeking damages against the city in federal court...

During the trial, witnesses provided contradictory testimony about what the actual killer looked like. That apparently weighed heavily in jurors' minds.
