Edgewater police are searching for a suspect after a woman was shot to death as she screamed for help.

It happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday near 20th Avenue and Otis Street, according to police.

Witnesses said the woman ran to a neighbor's house, screaming. The suspect shot her from behind and fled in a red Ford pickup truck.
