Does anyone see similarities between Leann's case and that of Kim Mileo? Both were last seen in Prince Georges County, Maryland, although the cases are two years apart. Note the similarity in facial features, age, and height. I wonder if PG County Police ever found any links between the two.

Websleuths Cold Cases has a thread on Kimberly Christine Mileo, 20, Missing From Croom, MD 9 June 1983.

Case History
The victim was located on January 24, 1988, when a man walking his dog discovered the skeletal remains in a valve/pumphouse at the old Publicker distillery property on State Road in Bensalem.
About 8 inches of water and oil fuel had to be pumped out of the vault-like structure to retrieve the remains.
The pumphouse, which is mostly underground, houses pipes and valves that connect to a concrete storage tank, which was once used to store distilled spirits that had been manufactured at the distillery. The distillery was closed down in the early 70s. In 1974, the six huge storage tanks on the property were being used to store fuel oil, which in all likelyhood was the cause of the oil found in the pumphouse. By the time the victim was found, the property had become an illegal dumping ground for stolen vehicles and was well known to local criminals.
Flyers with a picture of the above reconstruction were distributed to school guidance counselors and doctors' offices (particulary obstetrician/gynecologists), clinics and local police departments. Dental records were also distributed. There were, at the time, 50 missing person reports nationwide that fit the description of the woman, but all of them were eliminated from the investigation.

After 35 years, Edgewater woman still seeking clues to bring home missing sister
LWPFNXUD4NCBXJ6KWD3QBK76UM.jpg

In this photos from www.leannfaulk.com, Leann Faulk cuts into her 21st birthday cake. She was reported missing Nov. 16, 1985, weeks before her 22nd birthday. (leannfaulk.com / Capital Gazette)

''Toni Brooke wants to bring her sister’s body home for a proper burial, but to get that closure for herself and her 79-year-old mother, someone needs to come forward with a clue.

Her sister Leann Faulk was reported missing in Prince George’s County on Nov. 16, 1985. The case was investigated as a homicide, but Faulk’s body was never found. Brooke said they believe she is dead.''

''Brooke, who lives in Edgewater, planned on returning to the area over the weekend to post missing persons posters. A reward of $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to the location and recovery of Faulk’s remains.

People who were in their early 20s at the time are much older now, Brooke said. Maybe someone grew a conscience. Or maybe someone heard something from someone else.''

''People with information should contact the Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925 or Prince George’s County Police at 301-699-2601. More photos of Faulk and details about clothing and tattoos that could help identify her can be found at leannfaulk.com.''

Terrible, @dotr. Does anyone else feel like she might have been hanging with the wrong crowd? People involved in the drug scene who she owed money to, maybe? There hasn't been a lot of information given as to her boyfriend, or if he or his family were questioned or ever considered to be suspects. Why was she going to her boyfriend's aunt and uncle to get money? What kind of job did she have? I also want more information on this "JJ" person.
