UT - Kimberly Turney, 25, Uintah County, Nov 2006

The search for a missing woman in Uintah County took a terrible turn today when a rescue helicopter crashed into the Green River.

Both men in that helicopter are in critical condition tonight, and there's still no sign of the missing woman.

They went down near Jensen, Utah. Authorities think that's where the missing woman, 25-year-old Kimberly Turney, crashed her car last Friday.

Her car has been found, but not her.

    Picture and more at link.

I wonder if searchers were able to get to her car and cover the area around it. Often a person isn't far from their vehicle but they aren't spotted until later. If she was in her car and crashed she could have gotten out of the car
and wandered off somewhere. It seems that if she was alright and someone picked her up on the road she would have contacted someone by now.

Her body was found. Also, a police detective died in the 'copter crash.

They have ruled out foul play as the cause of Kimberly's death. They said she walked away from the crash to a place a mile away where she later died.

What hasn't been explained is why she crashed. Does anyone know?

I do see similarities between this and Margay Edwards' case...

Still so many questions left unanswered in both cases, too...
