Former Phish member Trey Anastasio Arrested

Well just because I live here does not mean that I have to like this band.

I could not stand them before they became famous and I could not stand them after.

    Whitehall, New York - December 15, 2006

Police say former Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, 42, was driving under the influence of drugs when they pulled him over in northern New York early Friday morning. A Whitehall, N.Y. officer stopped Anastasio at about 3:30 a.m. for failing to keep his car in his lane. A search of Anastasio's car turned up the prescription drugs hydrocodone, Percocet, and Xanax prescribed to someone else.

There were cars left on the interstate by Phish fans and garbage strewn all over. My aunt's car broke down about a month after the concert. Her car was towed and she payed an arm and a leg to get her car back. How pathetic that the Phish fans were given a free ride.they left a mess

He's gone down hill quickly. Too much money, too many temptations.
    It's just my opinion.

Sunday night, Anne Flowers, 22, of Flassmoor, Ill., was driving north on Interstate 91 when her car hit four vehicles parked on the shoulder. The extent of Flowers' injuries, if any, was unknown. I wonder what happened here? there's a reason why cars are not allowed to be parked on the interstate.
I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for pretending to be someone I'm not.

Here is part of an article from the link....

"We can no longer tolerate Trey's dependence on controlled substances," said the statement, which was signed by Paige McConnell, keyboards and vocals, Mike Gordon, bass guitar and vocals, and Jon Fishman, percussion, vacuum cleaner, and vocals.

"His excessive use of drugs not only caused the break-up of the band but also prevented any hope of a reunion, a hope that so many of our fans had clung to for the last two years. For their sakes as well as our own it is necessary to find a replacement for Trey and to start touring again in the spring."
