Someone making a claim doesn't make it true.
 
I'm of the opinion that it probably is true. I really don't have a strong feeling about Nicole OR Keith, but I do think she may have made a hard choice in her second marriage. It is very hard for an addict to stay clean and Keith is obviously struggling with that - his other bad behavior could stem from his using.
 
I don't have a strong feeling about Nicole or Keith either. I don't find him attractive, although I know many do. He has certainly improved in the looks department over the years. Some of Nic's movies I love and others are not my bag. But I do think she suffered more than we know with Tom and then to have a miscarriage after all those years of not conceiving and then to have Tom accuse her of being unfaithful??? I do feel sorry for her sometimes. It seems that she waited a long time after Tom to get into a serious relationship again and I admire that. Unlike some celebrities, Tom included, who jump from bed to bed without waiting for the divorce paper ink to dry. It is just a shame that Nicole had to pick someone as unstable as Keith. I think she needs someone dependable and strong and I think she missed that mark with Keith. JMO.
 
I agree with you. I like Keith Urban okay but I think maybe he wasn't the best choice for Nicole Kidman. Hopefully he will be able to turn his life around. From all the press and pictures of the two it seems she's standing behind him and maybe that'll give him the motivation to change.
 
People are too quick to believe these things. There is zero evidence one way or another.

For once we agree, DK. I'm always a bit surprised when posters make statements such as "I don't think Keith is good for Nichole."

Unless they are close friends of yours, how would you possibly know?

Anyone with experience with the media, p.r., show business, celebrities, etc., will tell you the "public image" of a celeb is a product of many forces, not the least of which is outright fabrication.

I agree. Tabloid tales should be taken with a grain of salt.

Somedays, being a non-chalent, regular citizen looks darn good what? hehe! At least we can make a mistake here and there without it being blown out of proportion or misconstrued beyond belief!

I recently read that Nichole has just signed on to make a movie that will require her to be in Australia, I believe it was, for about 6 months beginning in March. This is despite her prior statements (at the time of the wedding or shortly thereafter) that she would not be taking on any new projects in the near future that would take her away from her new husband.

So she has apparently changed her mind about just hanging out with Keith while he tours.

I wonder if this will be the death knell for this marriage?

IMO she should get out now while the getting is good - a la Renee Zellweiger.

If you were referring to my comment I'm using a generalization. I don't know Keith Urban but I do know recovering addicts and addicts. Personally I don't think they're a good choice for anyone but especially someone that appears as Nicole Kidman does (I don't know her personally either).
 
So this woman reports that she had an affair with Urban that went on prior to his marriage. Why is she needing to report this to the world, I have to ask what's in it for her?

VB, "this woman" is reporting an affair that began a couple of years ago and lasted right up to the wedding day. Which would mean, if true, that Keith was boinking her at the same time as Nicole and he were dating. I am sure she is only out for her 15 minutes but that doesn't make it less potentially true.

If she did have a relationship with keith Im sure she feels like a jilted lover which is why she decided now to announce it and the $25,000 she received would help ease her conscience. Honestly druggies are selfish people always, They always think about themselves and getting high before considering anyone else. It wouldnt surprise me if he did it, he wouldnt be the first star to. They were questioning his bachelor party not too long ago and boinking a pornstar/prostitute.
 
I keep seeing references to Keith Urban being a "junkie" and references to drugs. I was under the impression that he was in rehab for alcohol abuse and not drugs.

Semantics, really--I realize that alcohol is indeed a drug, and the most destructive one at that.

Yikes, give us drug addicts a break!

In many instances, a recovering person of any sort is a great choice because they've touched darkness and chosen light. Of course, I am biased. Most of my closest friends, including my dh, are recovering addicts and they are amazing people.

True, many addicts are bad choices, but to say that addicts are a bad choice for anyone is a broad negative stroke.

Gee really funny since Keith was on the road doing concerts during this time.I saw his last tour date in Calif. Guess what Nicole was there. This is nothing but a Trash looking for money

I don't know what he was in rehab for this time (drugs or alcohol) but I've heard in the past that he was a major coke head.

The way things are going these days, with your logic of recovering addicts or addicts not being a good choice for ANYONE, the end result of that would be alot of lonely people. Remember, for every person that is a "known" addict, there are 10-20, probably more, that remain "unknown". They are most likely among your coworkers, neighbors, friends, healthcare personnel, grocery store clerks, hairdressers, soccer moms, and other people you run into every day. I don't have too much personal knowledge of addicts (but then again, you never REALLY know....maybe I know many addicts & I just don't know it) but I can tell you that someone simply being an addict isn't enough for me to write them off.
