Fox airs vulgar shirt during playoff game!

Why would they air that, and why would someone wear a shirt that says something like that????

Would you want your children seeing that? Heck, I don't even want to look at it. She should be arrested for wearing that shirt in public.

Erm, prolly not or we'd have to arrest people for swearing in public as well.

I was also shocked when I saw it, but decided it must have said "pluck the Eagles." lol. Yes that was very stupid of Fox.

I couldn't even read what the shirt said.

Live TV, they are doing it as it happens, just like in the infamous Jackson "malfunction". If a camera is pointed at it and a director takes that camera, it's out there and you can't take it back.

why would someone wear a shirt that says something like that????

Poor taste, shock value, lack of class?

I'm with you. I'm trying to believe that's what her shirt said. :waitasec:

It's definately vulgar and in bad taste, but in the grand scheme of things, well....there are soooooo many more things higher up on my list of things that I wouldn't want my kids being subjected to seeing. There are shows on FOX (and other stations) that I would never let them watch. Recreations and dramas about murders, rapes, violence, portraying women as sexual objects only.......IMO, all that stuff is sooooo much more harmful to our kids than seeing the printed word "F*CK" for 3 seconds on a t-shirt at a football game. If that's the worse thing my kids will come across in todays world, then I am a happy parent, LOL.

I'm with you. I couldn't make out what the shirt said. I expected something to peek out from beneath the shirt but apparently she has better muscle tone than I have.

From what I could see... I think it says, " da Eagles" (and the word is NOT asterisked out)

i don't think fox is in any way responsible for showing an obscene t-shirt that a fan wore to a game, which is in the public domain so to speak. this is very different from a wardrobe malfunction. if the children attending the game in the actual stadium were subject to this "slogan" or some might think (including me) "slur" and there was no censorship at the event, then the same goes for that event televised.

in our society anyone can pretty much wear a t-shirt that says anyting (so long as it does not threaten the life of a president as they board an airplane), but that same person would be subject to charges if they walked down the street with a ni**le showing (unless they are on the red-carpet of some award show).

i guess i am trying to say if she was not breaking any laws in the stadium she was not breaking any laws on television and fox therefore is responsible only for televising it like it is.

I couldn't read it either....it could have said Stop & Smell The Roses for all I know.

My in-laws were at the game and seated not too far from the girl. The shirt did say F*CK DA EAGLES. Security found her and told her to either cover herself up or she'd be escorted out. She put another shirt on.

We thought it was in poor taste and showed no class on her part.

I am more offended that the shirt said something negative about my team... then the fact that it had a vulgar word on it. :hand:

The director can see what the camera sees before he goes to that camera shot, so I still cannot believe they let that happen. I imagine it was after that shot that security had a few words with her. She had nice abs, though, lol.

I swear, we're getting to the point where we need a dress code for the general population! I'm glad she was asked to put on another shirt. The vulgar word bothers me because I don't like children to be exposed to vulgarities. I guess I'm of the old school: when kids are around, censor yourself. Maybe I'm old fashioned.

LOL Cracks me up that people are offended by the shirt rather then the 30 or so giant men pounding the snot out of each other on the grass.

Oh its just a word!!
I know everyone is saying "what if my child saw that?"
Please... Your kids hear it at school as do mine.
The F word only has power because we say its a "bad" word.

Exactly. I agree 100%. Random acts of violence are okay, but the word F*CK will screw kids up?
