George R. Daniels, her husband, told neighbors he went for a walk and returned to find her gone from their Elm Grove, WI home June 3, 2000.
Sandra Mae Daniels (nee Mateski) was last seen driving away from her home between 11 AM and noon on June 3, 2000. (Article doesn't say who saw her driving away)
Car found two weeks after disappearance in an unnamed Chicago suburb, 100 miles away from where her body was found.
Remains found Jan 7, 2007 on a roadside near Durand, Il, west of Rockford, Ill. Fractured skull from blunt force trauma. It would be interesting to know which Chicago suburb her car was found in and why that info wasn't publically released. Was there a missing persons report filed after she disappeared? Who filed it? When was it filed? Obviously there should have been a report filed when the car was found two weeks later in the Chicago suburb.
George R. Daniels filed for divorce June 28, 2000.
