Cleft Palate Pups Get Surgery
POSTED: 7:13 pm PST February 1, 2007
HUNTINGTON, N.Y. -- Two puppies born with cleft palates have had their first corrective surgeries and are said to be doing well.
The puppies, named Magic and Merlin, are about three months old. Because of their cleft palates, they were unable to eat. They were rescued from a New York City shelter and taken to the Little Shelter Animal Adoption Center on Long Island. A veterinarian who volunteered at the Little Shelter when she was a teenager performed the surgery for free.
She said the puppies are receiving pain medication and are wearing medical collars so they won't scratch their mouths. They're being fed through a tube, but the vet said they should be able to eat on their own soon.http://www.ktvu.com/family/10905965/detail.htmlThis is the year to locate Mark Dribin http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sho...ht=Mark+Dribin NamUs MP#876 and Ilene Misheloff http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sho...lene+Misheloff NamUs MP#6410 and bring them home to their families!

Awww! How adorable they are! It is wonderful the vet volunteered to help them. I trust he will find them a good home when they have healed. People will probably be fighting for them!"WE SEEK FOR THE TRUTH. WE SEEK JUSTICE.
THE COURTS REQUIRE IT. THE VICTIMS CRY FOR IT
AND GOD DEMANDS IT!"
