This one seems like it is easily solvable...not sure why she hasn't been found!

Lisa Marie Geise
Missing since February 26, 1989 from Gwinnett County, Georgia
Classification: Involuntary

Vital Statistics
  • Age at Time of Disappearance: 26 years old
  • Date Of Birth: December 18, 1962
  • Distinguishing Characteristics: White female. Petite build. Wears contact lenses.

Circumstances of Disappearance
On February 26, 1989, Lisa Geise disappeared from her Norcross office.
Someone had started a fire at the picture frame company where Lisa worked. The fire had triggered the company's sprinkler system. The sprinklers were not connected to a fire alarm, so the water had poured down for hours undetected. When employees had arrived that morning, the water was ankle deep. And by the desk of Lisa, the same spot where the fire was started, there was a pool of blood in the water.
Throughout the day, Gwinnett County Police had organized a massive search for Lisa. During that search they found Lisa's purse on the roof of a nearby building. Nothing was missing from the purse but the keys to Lisa's 1983 Nissan Pulsar. The vehicle was found parked a block away from the office building.
Detectives found a blood-smeared 10-pound doorstop discarded in the woods near the company. They also had found a cloth mail cart smeared with blood in the same woods. And faint blood stains were found on the door of a company van.
All the employees of Lisa's company, her fiancé and her roommates, were rule out as suspects.
Lisa had been just weeks from her wedding day when she vanished. She had lived in Gwinnett County for about a year before she vanished. She is a native of Pensacola, FL.

It sounds like LE know who the killer is but they just don't have the evidence to prove it. That is terrible.

I wonder why Lisa was the only one at work when the guy got there? Did she always come in earlier then everyone else? I wonder if they tested the clothes the guy was wearing that day or if they even knew what he had been wearing. I'm sure that they tested everything possible. It is such a shame that this guy is going to get away with murder. This happens to often in the workplace.

Family seeks answers in 27 year old missing woman case

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/family-seeks-answers-27-year-old-missing-woman-cas/nqYyM/

Feb. 26, 1989, Geise, 26, vanished from the office complex where she worked off Beaver Ruin Road.

Police found some of Geise's clothes and ID's scattered around the area. They also found a bloody mail cart used by her company dumped nearby.

There were indications that someone died at the scene, but Geise's body has never been found.

"I don't even care about a conviction at this point, just somebody tell us where her body is. That's what we want to know," Gore said.

Lisa Geise's mother, Jean Wallace, says she isn't vengeful anymore and she has gotten over her rage. She says she just wants to know what happened.

There's been a series of articles in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about Lisa's disappearance and presumed murder over the years. Police seem to believe that someone (specifically a former employee, who was named in the 90s, but in more recent articles has not been identified by name) was in the building, committing another crime, when Lisa came into work unexpectedly. Based on the items found in the woods, I would've expected her to be there as well, but apparently a company van is believed to have been used to move her body*. It does seem like there have been extensive searches in the area. There have also been searches on the property the person of interest owned at the time. As of 2006, Lisa's wife was still regularly calling the Gwinnett police to ask about her case, and she also has a very nice website devoted to Lisa's case.

*If the van was back at the office by morning, with the fire set/sprinklers on, various items discarded nearby, that does seem to limit the range of where she could be.

I have the impression that Lisa is buried in that forest near her company and that the fire was a distraction or to cover up Lisa's blood or maybe a robbery and that she was just a poor victim of circumstances.
rest in peace Lisa

Hopefully the authorities will publicly identify the suspect so there will be pressure for him to confess his crime and Lisa's family has peace
