I did a very quick scan to see if this case was listed, but didn't find it. If it already has a thread, pardon the repeat.

This man clearly has mental health issues (and that's being kind) but also seemed to recognize he would be punished for his actions in all of his writings. I hope he receiveds the DP despite his mental instability. He even looks disturbed in his picture. And his parents sound equally disturbed. JMO.

The parents of a man found guilty of killing two South Carolina officers during standoff in 2003 died within a week of each other...

Bixby's father, Arthur, was charged with murder and conspiracy in connection with the deaths, but he was not found competent to stand trial. He was ordered committed. Steven Bixby's mother, Rita, was found guilty of being an accessory to the killings. She was sentenced to life in prison.

Arthur Bixby, 82, had been suffering from a long illness and died on Sept. 5. Rita Bixby, 79, died on Monday, but her cause of death was not immediately released. Solicitor Jerry Peace said she had been suffering from skin cancer at the time of the trial and did not want to be treated.
