This seems pretty clear to me:

"Matt Schneider. He's been our primary person that we've focused on for pretty much the entire time," explains Kingston.
ETA: Finally found a link to the unsealed court document.

Attached here as images in case the links go down.

    ETA (and save space )

    Interesting quote from this doc:

I am seeking records…described as follows:

*All call record and sms/mms text message detail to include date, time and length of calls for outbound and inbound calls/text messages…for the time period of January 1, 2014 until present date…”

I believe that the records described…above…constitute evidence of the crime(s) of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide…
This is fascinating to me. So the POI has apparently done or said something since January 2014 that has incriminated him!

Yes, although some media outlets aren't naming MS since he hasn't been charged, he is most definitely been labeled as the POI!!

    Thank you Kay!!

According to articles, MS was a construction worker of sorts at the time of Amber's disappearance, and now lives in West Bend, WI.

Here is a company called XCOV8 (excovate) owned by a MS in West Bend.

    http://www.manta.com/c/mm892h9/xcov8-inc

I also find it very interesting that, from the above docs, MS's wife (who seems to also be the fiance from 1998) is currently in jail and contradicted statements he and a friend made.

HS also informed affiant that Matt and their friend [redacted] had known each other prior to the summer/fall of 1998 and that both of them have had continued personal contact since that time. This information is contrary to information provided to affiant by [redacted] in which [redacted] stated that he "barely knew" Matt Schneider.

Not sure of relevance, but these cases involve MS.

Public records from Wisconsin Circuit Courts

Several MSs come up in the search, but I pulled the following cases using names and addresses that I can link to this MS.

ETA: I did smile seeing all the legal and financial trouble MS et al has had. This is only what's public, so I'm sure there's more. Karma?

Another person of interest named in Amber Wilde disappearance

    http://wbay.com/2016/08/18/exclusive...disappearance/

In those documents, investigators named their main person of interest, Matthew Schneider, the father of Wilde’s unborn child. They pointed to that pregnancy, unwanted by Schneider, as a possible motive for murder.

These new documents reveal Schneider’s close friend and “constant companion” is also labeled a person of interest in this case.

In a 12-page subpoena, Green Bay police detectives ask for cell phone records for Nick Petit. According to the documents, police asked for the records in 2014 when new detectives were assigned to the case. The subpoena remained sealed until recently.

“We know that Nick was Matt’s closest friend, and if Matt confided in anyone, it may have been to him,” Kingston says, “and we know that they were together a lot of the time, and we know that they both have different stories of where they were over the timeframe of her disappearance. So until those questions are answered, I guess he has to remain a person of interest.”

Green Bay Police Det. David Graf said no arrests are imminent. Information opened to the public this summer may seem new and make it feel like police are learning a great deal of new information, but Graf said, “Remember, that’s all at least two years old.”

He declined to say what, if anything, was revealed in the search warrants.

The investigation is continuing to plug along, making headway, but “not enough to convince the DA to bring charges,” Graf said. “We are still investigating as best as we can. We’ve reached some obstacles, because some individuals have refused to talk with us.”

Schneider stopped talking to police 18 years ago, and Petit stopped talking more recently, he said. Both men have refused to take polygraph tests, he said.
    Also:

Petit, who was living near Wausau, told police his girlfriend possibly had seen Wilde in her silver Subaru in Wausau. Petit gave a detailed description of Wilde’s car. Police today say they had given out no description of her car at that time and have no idea how Petit or his girlfriend would have known what kind of car Wilde drove.

I would like to see prsecutors charge Matt Schneider, with or without a body.
It seems that all it takes to get away with murder in this country is to bury a body deep enough or in a random enough spot for it never to be found. That needs to change.

Tears for Amber Wilde's family! It is a damn shame the POI's won't give up information to bring Amber home! Murdered because she did not want her unborn child is cold and callous. She wanted to be a pediatrician. . . These 2 creeps took so much from Amber's family. It would be so nice if somebody could do the right thing in Amber's case. It is horrible that Amber's family has no peace after all these years. They also lost a grandchild. l will never understand POS like the 2 in Amber's case.

I made a reference to Nick M. Petit at the Kayla Berg forum. Post #310. He, at one time, lived at the same Wausau address of someone related to a POI in the Kayla Berg case. He also lived down the road from that same address. Though it's slim, there may be a chance he could also be involved. I also Google mapped his former addresses and a current one.

    What? Another coincidence?

And while the police are at it, maybe they could check into Nick M. Petit. According to Rehold,

    https://rehold.com/Wausau+WI/LAZY+ACRE+RD/214

Nick M. Petit lived at the same address as Alfredo B. Merreo, Miguel Merrero’s uncle, 214 Lazy Acre Rd., Wausau, WI 54401

Address history for Nick M. Petit

    https://rehold.com/Wausau+WI/LAZY+ACRE+RD/214

As you know, Nick M. Petit was named as one of the suspects in the murder of Amber Wilde. Whether he lived at that address at the same time as Merrero needs to be checked out.

Amber Wilde investigation: FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit reviewing case, offering help

    http://wbay.com/2017/02/23/amber-wil...offering-help/

A new team of experts, trained to solve complex, sensitive crimes, is now helping in the investigation surrounding the disappearance and apparent murder of Amber Wilde.

This month, the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, or BAU, reviewed Amber Wilde’s case.

“It was very helpful. We’re still working on things they suggested,” says Green Bay Police Detective Lee Kingston.

The detectives agree their case is mostly circumstantial since Amber’s body has never been found, but the BAU is giving them new avenues to explore, though they can’t say exactly what.

The BAU agents look at cases from a different perspective, analyzing behavior, motivations, and the why.

They can also look at it from a prosecutor’s perspective.

“What can we do to help the district attorney make a better, more informed decision in the future?” says Graf.

WI - Amber Wilde, 19, pregnant, Green Bay, 23 Sept 1998

Amber Wilde's case currently featured on Crime Watch Daily show.

    https://crimewatchdaily.com/2017/04/...arance-murder/

DOES SECRET DIARY REVEAL ROAD MAP TO AMBER WILDE'S DISAPPEARANCE, MURDER?

    ...

"We've pretty much ruled it a homicide. There's nothing that we can find or have been able to find that she went missing on her own," said Kingston.

So who would want to hurt Amber?

Then police get their biggest clue from Amber Wilde, in her own written words.

Cops find her personal diary. And there in black and white cops find the words that spell out a possible motive: "I'm pregnant."

    ...

Amber did tell [the baby's father] about the pregnancy, and says [the father, Matt] Schneider was not happy about it.

    ...

"Matt basically was giving her ultimatums or threatening to either harm himself or that she'd never see the kid again, and he made these type of statements," said Det. Graf.

    ...

"I think the biggest thing was he didn't want his fiancée to know because he didn't want that relationship to end," said Det. Kingston.

    ...

"She did tell Matt's fiancée that she was pregnant with Matt's baby and she also wrote a letter to Matt's mother," said Kingston.

    ...

"He denied to the initial detectives ever having a sexual relationship with Amber," said Kingston.

    ...

Schneider's fiancée tells cops Amber had an almost fatal attraction to Matthew, and was making it all up.

    ...

Crime Watch Daily has also confirmed a doctor performed an ultrasound and determined Amber was about four and a half months along at the time of her disappearance.

    ...

Matt Schneider maintains he did not have sex with Amber and the baby was not his. If that's true, and he only talked to Amber a couple of times, cops want to know how Schneider can explain a key piece of the mystery: his phone records.

"Between the time period they first met to the time period she went missing, from phone records and other statements, maybe around 60 times for sure," said Det. Graf. "There clearly was a back-and-forth going on documented very well through phone records and a diary that Amber kept."

    ...

"Most of the conversations, to our knowledge, were about Amber being pregnant, and then once she was missing, there was never phone contact since," said Det. Graf.

Police are now saying those phone records constitute evidence of first-degree intentional homicide.

    ...

Crime Watch Daily has discovered newly unsealed court documents that name Matthew Schneider as a prime suspect in Amber's disappearance. Search warrants also reveal police have conducted multiple digs along Highway 29 and a massive search on the Schneider family farm, all in an effort to find Amber's body.

Police say Schneider has never offered an alibi for his whereabouts on Sept. 23, 1998, the day Amber went missing, and he's declined to take a polygraph test. And now he's refusing to speak to cops.

    ...

If you know anything about the day Amber Wilde disappeared or where she might be, contact Green Bay Area Crime Stoppers at (920) 432-7867, or submit a tip to the FBI.
