Police are investigating a mysterious fatal plane crash... 49-year-old Scott Thomas of Saranac Lake was killed when his twin-engine plane crashed just moments after take off from the Adirondack Regional Airport last month. Police say he only had a license to operate a single engine plane. The investigation has revealed some intriguing information. The name on pilot's license was Phillip Cook. Thomas reportedly changed his name and social security number back in 1992. Police say 60-thousand dollars in cash was also found on the plane. According to investigators - Thomas had a criminal background.
