    from your link:

"Sloatsburg Mayor Carl Wright told the Journal News that an effort to install security cameras and other safety measures was under way but the plan did not include a metal detector."

I wonder what the "other safety measures" are. Is having metal detectors in courthouses pretty standard nowdays?

it seems it is a real small town. the court room is in the town hall. i guess when you have a town of only a few hundred people you think things like that dont happen to you. it would seem you would be wrong.

'is that a shotgun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

They say it was a sawed-off shotgun in an 8 1/2 x 11" envelope. Still, that wouldn't fit, would it??

No metal detector in court? Criminal court nonetheless.

    Where's this at Mayberry RFD?
