Plane carrying transplant team and organs crashes near Milwaukee

My thoughts and prayers for the families and friends of everyone on board. Also prayers for the transplant patient and their family.

This is really sad :( It must be so hard for their families, friends, co-workers, and the family and friends of the patient who was supposed to get the transplant, too.

From the Detroit Free Press:
"FREE PRESS STAFF AND WIRE REPORT
Rescuers have found some human remains during their search for the six members of a University of Michigan organ transplant team who were onboard a small plane that crashed into Lake Michigan and do not believe any of them could have survived the crash, a Coast Guard official said Tuesday.

“The condition of the aircraft debris and human remains found indicate a high-speed impact,” Capt. Bruce Jones said. “We believe this to have been a non-survivable crash.”

Oh this is so sad.. :( prayers going up for the families

That's tragic; when you think about it these flights to carry organs and save lives must go on all the time; we just aren't that aware of them. Until something like this happens.

My first thought was of Timex and her hubby who's waiting for his own transplant. This is really, really sad. :(

:( Very sad news. What a tragic loss for the families of those on board but also a tragic loss for everyone this team helped. May they rest in peace.

I am scared to look at the names. I know someone that harvests in that area and I am afraid to look.
This is awful.

(((JBean))) I hope it isn't anyone you know. Prayers to all.

What a tragic accident.....for an exercise that was supposed to give life makes this more heartbreaking.
JBean I hope your friend is not involved in this accident.

Okay I finally had the nerve to look at the names of the harvest specialists. Miraculously , my friend is not listed. But that doesn't lessen the tragedy.
My heart goes out to the transplant team and the recipient. how cruel life can be sometimes.

Im so pleased JBean that at least your friend is safe.
Thoughts and prayers to all the families involved in this tragedy.
I dont want to railroad this thread and I dont want to start one to cover this but could you all spare a few minutes to read my link and say a prayer for these people as well...TIA....

It's not fair- how very sad- :(

We've just had a huge train crash and they are saying kids are still trapped inside- :(

Oh, edit to add: Dingo already told you

Death toll up to 13:(

So very tragic! Prayers to their families and friends, and for the donor-to-be.
