Help sought in identifying woman's remains
Remains found in '05 in Arundel park believed to be of 19- to 23-year-old

Anne Arundel County police are turning to the public for help in identifying the remains of a woman found in a county park two years ago.

In July 2005, two boys were walking through the woods near basketball courts in a park in the 700 block of Cross St. about 3 p.m. when they saw what appeared to be a leg sticking out of a blanket, police said. The two also saw a skull, pants and a pair of shoes near the blanket, and left the park and called police.

There is a sketch of the woman at the link.

Here is a recent article on the Anne Arundel County Jane Doe. Not alot of new info though.

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/20...eddish-brown-hair-case-challenges-police-face

This is interesting, though: Police describe her as a white woman with wavy reddish-brown hair long enough to cover her ears. In January, the medical examiner's office expanded the ranges for age, height and weight from the early parameters. She is believed to have been 15 to 30 years old, between 5 feet and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighed between 100 and 140 lbs.

I found Tracey Leigh Gardner-Tetso (LBTH http://www.lbth.org/ncma/gallery/ncmaprofile_all.php?A200502688S, Tracey L. Tetso in NAMUS https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/2280/24/), 5'4" and 130 lbs. She's 32. Blonde, but the way it's dark at the roots makes me think it's at least partly bleached. She went missing in March; UID was found in July.

She went missing from Rosedale MD (NAMUS says she was supposed to attend a Motley Crue concert) and her car was found off Richie Highway in Glen Burnie, MD -- which is 2.5 miles from where this UID was found. (Map -- A is where body was found, B is car, C is Tracey's apartment).

Side by side attached. Carl, I know you have a much better eye for this than I do...

Just last November, Tracy's husband Dennis was sentenced to 18 years in prison for her murder, despite that they have never found her body.

I agree that there's a strong resemblance. I just can't imagine that this would slip their radar. Her case is gotten quite a bit of publicity in the Baltimore area, and there is a $20,000 reward out for info leading to the recovery of her remains (including $10K offered by the band Motley Crue).

She is not on Air Girl's rule-out list either, although I know that she's been ruled out on that case.

I wish they'd keep those lists up to date...

Until recently they thought she was a much younger person. I wonder if they checked early on, said, "Tracey's too old," and didn't investigate further.

Is there any reason not to send a "not on the ruleout list but..." email to the case manager?

Is it me, or does the clothing this woman is wearing seem like she was out for a jog and not homeless? Nike tank top, Nike sock, tennis shoes...that does't scream homeless to me?

Agreed, her outfit sounds coordinated. This is just a guess but she might have been walking instead of jogging. A walk wouldn't generally require a change of undergarments but for a run, a lace underwire bra wouldn't offer any support and would probably be downright uncomfortable.

Here's a news article from 2011 with details not on her NamUs or Doe Network profiles:

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/20...eddish-brown-hair-case-challenges-police-face

* Her statistics are entirely different in this article: 15-30 years old, 5'5"-5'8", 100-140 lbs.
* The blanket was a pink bedspread.
* No belongings were found near her to suggest she was homeless.
* Heroin-related drug paraphernalia was found nearby.
* The shoes (one with a bandage stuck to the back) were found nearby and she was wearing jeans. She also had a fanny pack full of cosmetics and a black hair scrunchy.

Well with that info, it definitely doesn't sound like she was homeless. I wonder if she had any drugs in her system? The paraphernalia that was "found near her" might not even be hers if the area was frequented by others.

This was posted in Becky's thread and it looked close enough to me to repost it here where more will see it.

I was wondering if anyone had taken this up as a possible match: age/date range fits and so does previously fractured nose.

She could have cut her hair, permed it, dyed it or tried ANYTHING to get away from whomever was scaring her.
Here is a UID possible profile: https://identifyus.org/en/cases/1856

I wonder if this could be Brianna Maitland? https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/2030/

Brianna is 65 inches and UID is 65 inches.
Clothing size seem about right.
UID has a healed nose fracture. 3 weeks prior to her disappearance Brianna was attacked and suffered a broken nose: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Brianna_Maitland

There is a reward for finding Brianna that will expire July 1st. Please, if anyone would like to submit Brianna to this UID, do so ASAP: http://www.mychamplainvalley.com/ne...july-1-investigators-need-your-help/749571773

(I won't be submitting it myself, I just like to suggest here-- would love to see Brianna found and this UID identified)

The bone structure looks right for Brianna Maitland. Longish face, eyes (distinctive, deep set) and eyebrows look a perfect match. When was this UID found? Montgomery, Vermont to Brooklyn, Maryland is a day's drive, straight shot down I-87.

ETA: I see it was July 2005, a year after Brianna disappeared. Were the remains completely skeletal? Her hair could possibly have been hacked off by her killer(s), especially if a woman was involved (jealousy, humiliation). I do hope this one is submitted for comparison.
