*Remains found along a dirt pathway north of Kissimmee are that of a middle-aged woman, an Osceola County sheriff's spokeswoman said Friday evening.

*An autopsy performed Friday determined the remains belong to a white woman between the ages of 30 and 40.

*The woman's identity remains a mystery, Lizasuain said, but at this point, investigators believe the body is not that of missing women in two high-profile cases: Jennifer Kesse of Orlando, who was reported missing January 2006; or Brandy Hall, a Malabar Fire Department volunteer whose bloodstained truck was found last August.

A bag of human bones found along an Osceola County roadway are believed to be the remains of a woman. Deputies say a father and son were going fishing near Boggy Creek Road and Osceola Parkway Thursday night when they found some remains scattered in several bags along side the road.
After some forensics investigators ran tests on the bones, they did say it was that of an adult woman, approximately 30 to 40 years old. Now, deputies can move on with the investigation. "Working with the medical examiners office, finding out what some of the results were from the tests, identifying the victim so the investigation can continue,” said Twis Lizasuain from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Department. “That will be the first step, trying to identify the victim." Deputies say they don't know how long the remains have been there, as the area where the discovery was made is remote.

OSCEOLA COUNTY - -A body found along a dirt path in Osceola County has been identified as a Kissimmee woman, deputies said Monday.

Ragan Kendall, 48, was last seen June 17 when she was released from Osceola County Jail on her own recognizance on a misdemeanor count of possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana and a felony count of contempt of court.

A man and his son found Kendall's body in plastic bags near Boggy Creek Road and Osceola Parkway. Investigators later disclosed that her body had been dismembered.

Detectives ask that anyone with information call the Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS. Crimeline is offering a $5,000 reward.

From January 2010:

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...erial-killers-serial-killer-case-iwana-patton

According to the FBI, the four killings are among 28 in Florida that are unsolved and connected to serial killings that the bureau suspects were committed by long-haul truckers.

Those include 19 deaths along the Interstate 4 corridor between Tampa and Daytona Beach, although all but one local law-enforcement agency denies any serial-killer cases on its books...

Other recent murders in Central Florida appear to fit a profile laid out by the bureau's probe:

•The dismembered body of Regan Kendall, 48, was found near Osceola Parkway and Boggy Creek Road in Osceola County in July.
