Case File 849DFNY
Left: Luna, circa 1993; Right: Age-Progressed to 22 years (circa 2003)
Irma Luna
Missing since October 21, 1993 from Medina, Orleans County, New York.
Classification: Non Family Abduction
Vital Statistics
Luna was last seen walking to her family's residence after school on October 21, 1993 in Medina, New York. She never arrived home and has not been seen again.
Authorities believe Luna was abducted by Andres Escobar, who has remained at large since Luna disappeared. Witnesses saw Escobar driving a black pickup truck with unknown Georgia license plates in the vicinity of Luna's school on the day of her disappearance.
Escobar initially abducted Luna from her family's former residence in North Carolina in April 1993, six months prior to her last abduction. He was apprehended and charged with kidnapping. Escobar posted bail shortly afterwards and threatened to abduct Luna again, saying he would not return her to her family until she delivered three of his children.
A friend of Luna's family received a phone call from the child several weeks after her October 1993 abduction. Luna apparently told the friend that she was with Escobar, but the call ended abruptly and she has never been heard from again.
A FBI warrant for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution was issued for the abductor on November 5, 1993. The abductor may also be using the aliases of Andres Escobar Calixto, Andres Escobar Benites, Antonio Jimenez or Arturo Jiminez. He was born on May 1, 1957, is 5'3" (159 cm.) tall and weighs 130 lbs. (59 kg.).
