BOSTON Two children were found stabbed to death in a Boston home Sunday night, and their mother was hospitalized after an apparent domestic incident, police said.
Officers entering the home in the Roslindale neighborhood at 8:50 p.m. found the children, a boy and a girl, dead from stab wounds in the duplex on Maynard Street. The mother was rushed to Brigham and Women's Hospital, her condition not immediately known.
Officers arriving on what was described as a well-being check were initially unable to gain access, but eventually were able to get into the home by dislodging an air conditioner, said Boston Police Superintendent John Gallagher. The victims were discovered with multiple stab wounds.
"This is not a random incident. We are confident the neighborhood is still a safe neighborhood at this point," said Gallagher, adding that there were no arrests and no search for any suspects.
Police did not immediately identify the children, reported to be aged 10 and 12, nor the mother.
Friends and relatives said the woman had been distraught after recently losing her job at Children's Hospital. more at link http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,291367,00.html
