Authorities and volunteers with Texas EquuSearch continued their search Tuesday morning for a 5-year-old girl who volunteers say is in danger.
Alondra Diaz-Garcia has been missing since early June.
Volunteers say they found a shoe in the search area, but could not identify it as belonging to the girl.
The girl's father, Ronaldo Diaz, was supposed to return the girl to her mother on June 3 in a meeting at a McDonald's restaurant in southwest Houston, but police say he never showed up.
A spokesperson for EquuSearch tells FOX 26 News an abandoned vehicle owned by the father was found with mud and grass on it. Volunteers are searching southwest Fort Bend County near land owned by the father.
I hope the girl is safe with her father.
here is her NCMEC poster, I'm going to try to look up the dad's "violent past"
You won't cry for my absence, I know -
You forgot me long ago. Am I that unimportant...?
Am I so insignificant...? Isn't something missing?
Isn't someone missing me?

"I cannot tell you how a child like that can get through the nine months, but she has done that. That concludes to us that she has a level of strength that I'm not sure any of us has."
