Lightbulb Let There Be Light!: Village Has Solar Light For First Time!

GUDDA, India (CNN) -- In Gudda, a village with very little, residents are literally beaming. Just two years ago, villagers had never seen light after dark, unless it came from the moon. Then, solar light arrived and changed everything.

Wow, what we take for granted clean water and power is a luxury unheard of in other distant places. What a difference to the quality of life in this village for all of the residents, especially the children.

One small feat can make such a difference in a person's life..........

And one person! Did you read where the women are learning to use solar ovens to cook, too? Isn't that just wonderful? To them it is like when we got our first microwaves!

The fact that this man was selected to study solar power and then "give" back to the people of this community and country is such a great idea. Instead of someone being educated and then leaving for a high paying job and benefiting from that education.

    Great idea..........
