FL - Marlys Welp, 53, slain, dumped in Peace River, Sarasota, 31 July 2007

Wow I wonder how long it would take a body in a suitcase to decompose? Could it have sunk and then eventually started floating again. There is no telling who this might be in this suitcase. I don't think it would have been anyone that has been missing terribly terribly long since they can tell she is white. If you look at mapquest the suitcase could have been dumped in the ocean anywhere along the coast and ended up in the Harbor area, or it could have been dumped there. This will be interesting to find out more details.

Man Charged With Helping In Death Of Woman Stuffed In Suitcase

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Officials in New Jersey have arrested another man in the murder of a woman found stuffed in a suitcase and floating in a Florida river last week.

Twenty-seven-year-old Adam Narducci is currently being held in jail in New Jersey. Police said he has been charged with being an accessory after the murder and grand theft of the victim's car.

The suitcase with the body of Marlys Ann Welp was found by a swimmer on the Peace River last week.

Officials said Sarasota resident Scott Haas admitted to suffocating her after she refused to move out of the home they were renting together.

I like when they confess right away. I wonder why they were living with her? If they aren't related it just seems odd. Maybe she was taking in boarders.

RIP Marlys. :(

The one article says she and Scott Haas were renting the home together. Maybe the three of them were renting together to save money and it was strictly a roomie situation.
