    Playboy Mansion Alleged Assault Investigation

Has anyone heard or read about this yet? I heard it mentioned on FOX a couple times but can't find any articles. I know they are trying to keep it on the down-low but you would think there would be something somewhere.

This is what I read yesterday, kato:

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292649,00.html

I'd love to hear the details about this one. I think if you attend one of those parties, you sort of leave yourself open to something happening.

Thanks for the article. You're right about those parties. They are WILD! I'm not suprised there haven't been more incidents considering how many people go to those parties what with all the drinking and who knows what else.

"However, Hilburger noted there was a minor incident at Hefner's annual "Midsummer Night's Dream" party Saturday night involving a woman hired to work as a server and her ex-boyfriend.
The woman has a restraining order against the man, and she alerted Playboy's security personnel after the man tried to talk to her, Hilburger said. The man, who had been on the guest list, was then escorted off the property."

It sounds as if this was more of a domestic incident that just happened to take place at the playboy manision.. the intial reports and headlines make appear as if it is something far different. I supsect the ex bf knew she was there and could gain access to her there..

They may be hedonistic and over-the-top but I wouldn't categorize these parties as out of control. Hef wouldn't let that occur and I'm sure security at these events are top notch.

With the Celebrity factor involved, I am sure you are right. I don't believe for a minute that going to one of these parties you leave yourself open to something happening. While they might involve half naked women...they don't appear to be "wild" parties by any stretch. Hef's security is probably extremely tight and watches out for any behavior which could threaten a lawsuit for Hef or Playboy, IMO.

I never used the term "wild". I do believe that by exposing your body parts in a public party venue like this, you leave yourself open to anything happening, especially sexual in nature.

This case sounds like it's not even related to the party per se, but I stand by my comment.

To clear the air I said "wild". Hef does have top notch security and I'm pretty sure they keep the parties under control. But that doesn't mean the parties are not "wild". I guess the word "wild" means different things to different people.

Mods feel free to delete this thread. It doesn't seem like anything major. I got my answer.

What body parts do you think are exposed at these parties? Do you have first-hand knowledge of this or are you just making assumptions?

At a party that is well guarded I'm pretty sure some person isn't going to go "mmmm, BOOBIES" and then jump on a woman. And in the RARE instance this might occur, security would be all over this person and they would be blacklisted from the mansion. And we all know you don't want to get blacklisted from the mansion.

eta: These parties aren't public, btw. These are highly secure parties for the well-to-do. You will not see any random joe-schmoe in here.

If I'm a server at your normal run of the mill restaurant odds are I won't have security there to escort bothersome ex's out.
Sounds like these events are safer than most.
And imo if you go to any party where there will be lots of people and alcohol-you open yourself to all sorts of things happening-so it is not just playboy mansion parties.

Do I seriously have to list the body parts exposed at Hef's parties?! Nah, I'll let you use your imagination. Or better yet, watch one of their tv shows where they blur out body parts.

You are right about the parties not being "public". When I used that word I didn't mean that anyone could just walk in. I meant that men and women were walking around amongst other people, with exposed body parts.

I'm through with this discussion. kato needed a link, and I posted one. The opinion I posted after the link was stated before hearing this may turn out to be a domestic issue. I still stand by my opinion though. Thanks for the stimulating discussion!

No, I used the term "wild" because people think that is what these parties are...rather like the "girls gone wild" videos you see advertised on tv. However, I don't believe they are free-for-alls such as it were. I think they are strictly monitored with the safety of his workers and his guests in mind.

The parties held by Hef at the Mansion are private parties and to each his own...he can darn well do what he wants at his own home. (He hasn't gotten where he is today without being intelligent, savy, and without men like our brothers, fathers, uncles, etc. buying his magazines.) He would not jeapordize his fortune by allowing anything to happen on his personal property.

While I don't suscribe, I believe in our constitutional right for Playboy to exist and I even believe it has a place in our society. Europeans have long held the standard that sex isn't a bad thing as Americans make it out to be.

In Holland, for example, if you call someone a "sexually oriented name"...they will laugh, but don't call them a "disease" because those would be fighting words! If you will notice...here...every cuss word or phrase is sexual in nature where as in Europe...they don't find it offensive.

I find sex to be a healthy, natural thing and "showing body parts" is not offensive to me in the proper context or place. The Playboy mansion is the proper place for it...so more power to them! I think Hef takes safety very seriously which is a good thing.

I am glad this incident was resolved quickly. Sounds like his staff was on their toes.

Wow, Seriously, I'm not sure how this thread digressed into constitutional rights and offensive body parts.

I don't think Hef's parties are "wild" either. In fact, I've seen the body art applied on some of the women (models? bunnies? I don't know) and I'm amazed at the art and beauty of it.

Ack. I said I was through with this thread and I am!!! lol

Same here. I didn't start this thread with the intent of it going south. All I wanted was a link to what happened because I had heard a blurb. I was provided a link and that was that.
