I can't believe it's been this long and the case is still unsolved.

One thing I want to know. How were the bodies positioned when they found them? I don't know if we ever got that answered. Who was closer to the back of that Jeep? Or had they been moved away so the killer could mop up? To me it's important to know how the hand was positioned when they wrote that.

Another person is getting away with murder for now. ARGH.

I am new to this case so I just scanned it. Of course the first link doesn't work any more. It seems reasonable that the murderer is someone the victims knew. I always figured if i was killed i would write a message too. I know that is gross, just saying.

    Here's the case on AMW:
    http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=47320

They have good pics even though I thought we found some better/more enhanced/larger somewhere else. Too bad these news sites don't keep cold case info out there for us.

Thanks for looking at it, R&G. (Do you mind if I shorten your nick to that?!)

You know, since we don't have a forum for this, maybe we could start a social group about it and keep the pictures there for everyone to look at. I have to run, so I can look into that later.

Hi all-oh I just got sucked in with this one!

Are they positive there was not one bit of jewelry missing? because at first glance, I saw:
    s
    R (R backwards) sie

Then the next time I looked, I saw:
    s
Jwle or Jelie(letters on top of each other....)

And I can't find any mention of what caused the blunt force trauma-was it the gas can? It's not easy to take on two people, so something happened to get them down quickly I have to believe.

Great idea, Taximom! This is the first I've seen this thread. What an interesting case. I'd love to see justice served.

I'm wondering if the hubby wasn't already basically killed when she walked in on it. Although the crumbled cookie on those steps is interesting.

I'm glad people here are looking into it again! I can work on that group/pic thing tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe we can do that for cases like this w/pics that we don't have a forum for....

I am just reading about this so please be nice. The son's g/friend who found the bodies, her name was rosie and those letters are written in blood. Just thinking out loud.

also, question. They said that the murder's were commited in the garage, that the wife went to the garage and thats when it happened and the husband was already out there with someone. I take it that the perp came from outside into the garage ( please correct me if i'm wrong) anyway, how did the perp get the knives from the kitchen if he was not in the house and it all happened in the garage? Again, just reading about this. Thanks

swanniee, please don't apologize for anything! I bumped it especially so that fresh eyes like yours could take a look at the facts and pics. I can't remember much about it and won't be able to review the thread till tomorrow night. Interesting that the son's gf's name was Rosie. Keep reading and looking! Thanks for checking this thread out!

Again, I'm just thinking this here. Could the word be something like "stole" or "stolen" with the N washed off. It LOOKS like there was more written under it, and that part of the l got washed off. The message could have been something like "J stole ????" or "J stolen ????" Was there anything missing that was noted -- or that someone would have known was in the garage anyway?

The slippers look to me like perhaps the husband and wife were both in the garage at one point, and she tried to run off and lost her slippers and cookie on the steps. (How do they know she came outside from the house anyway?) Do they know whose blood was on the driveway? Perhaps she was pulled into the garage after she got out and tried to run for help. Left thought to be dead, the killer(s) find her, kill her, and then try to wipe up what wasn't already dried. I think whoever was there was definitely LOOKING for something, but whatever it was either wasn't there or wasn't known by anyone to be there so they aren't noticing it missing. They probably went into the house (it would make no sense for them not to) and came back out through the door.

ETA: what looks like and "e" to some looks to me like a "t" that was written by someone who couldn't write as well as normal (like me with a liquid ball pen or something -- sloppy).

A few more thoughts-I found some of the close up pictures on the AMW website and I think that there is a deliberate 2 scrawled vertically through the other letters-

So Let's say that the letters are:
    s
Juie with a 2 scrawled through it. Well I googled Juie and there is actually an artist named Juie Rattley. is there art work missing?

    Could it say:
    s
Jale with a 2 scrawled over it-are there 2 people recently out of Jail that the poor people know?

I did a review ( some articles/pics) were no longer there so i'm going off of what i did see and comments from those who saw the actual articles. Someone mentioned turning the letters upside down, I tried this and also went backwords ( don't ask why) what it looks like to me is an el125 or el725, or el925. I looked them up and what i came across was el125 Kawasaki, el725 is a keyboard and el925 is a silver collection. Anyway, if anyone knows of antique cars that have those #'s at the end maybe that would be a hint. As for their antique cars, do we know what make/model years theirs were?

Looking at the pic's of the crime scene, it looks like the wife came out the door, knocked over some brown basket/table (not sure what) ran to the bottom of the stairs, dropped the cookie and off came the slippers. It looks like she was murdered at the back of the jeep which to me looks like the 1st car off the stairs. The garage door is open ( someone was dragged) back into the garage that way yet theres blood at the garage side door which appears to be right at the bottom of the stairs next to the open garage door. ( cant figure out why they would try to get out that door and not out the open garage door if possible)Unless, she dropped cookie ran back up the stairs the perp grabbed her dragged her down the stairs where she was stabbed and lost the slippers and she was grabbing at the door/wall for leverage.

Someone has also mentioned a gas can as a weapon??? There is a plastic red gas can under the stairs is this what you're talking about?

again, i'm just looking at this case for the 1st time. I'm sure many people have already discussed these issues. I'm sorry if i've recapped anyones theories just trying to understand this.

i mentioned the gas can only because other than the stab wounds, blunt force trauma was listed as an injury to the nice folks. I saw the plastic gas cans under the staircase, but I was assuming that the gas can the killer brought to the scene (the scenario implied by LE I think) was not among the ones under the stairs...JMO.
