    Guam 1987

Bumping this case up. I origionally posted it in 2007 when Mr. Jackson had been missing for 20 years. There have been 129 viewings of the post to date, but no other posts to it.

Guam is a small island territory of the US. It is about 15 miles long from north to south. The only real way to get to or from Guam is by way of the Guam Airport. It is possible that Jackson simply drove to the airport and then flew out of Guam. But it is also quite possible that he was murdered on Guam and the killer or killers planted his car at the airport to make it APPEAR that he had left the island.

In 1987, there was no gate or paid parking at the airport. You simply drove in and parked your car, leaving it for someone else to pick up or to await your return. Plane tickets would have been purchased in a person's name, but there was no where near the required security and Identification needed like there is today.

A new article on this case....

1987 missing person case may be homicide

Twenty-four years ago, police found a maroon car in an airport parking lot with blood in the vehicle, and the car's owner is still missing today.

Jonathan Bruce Jackson, a 31-year-old car salesman who was widely known as "Mojo," has not been seen on Guam since 1987, but it's hard to believe he could just disappear into thin air Special Agent Barry Flores, said last week.

Flores, a supervisor of the Guam Police Department's Cold Case Unit, explained on Wednesday how investigators are considering reclassifying Jackson's missing person case as an unsolved murder.

    25 Years missing...

June will mark the 25 year anniversary of Jonathan B. Jackson's disappearance. Due to the fact that he has never turned up anywhere in the world, it would appear likely that he was murdered and his body disposed of on Guam.
