CLARKSBURG -- A fisherman found a skull and bones in the Elk Creek back in March of 2006. The man called police to investigate the find.

The remains were sent to the state medical examiners office, then to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. for further testing.
On Thursday, the Clarksburg police received the results.
The bones were positively identified as Jeffrey Stout, 47, of Lumberport.
Stout had gone missing back in June of 2006 and was known for hanging out down by Elk Creek.
Police say right now there is no evidence of foul play. They say the case is still being investigated.
