The death of a woman whose body was found in Lake Arlington over the weekend has been ruled a homicide, Arlington police said Thursday.

The Tarrant County medical examiners office has conducted an autopsy and found signs of trauma, police said. Detectives have declined to release more details about the type of wounds found on the womans body.
Police said the person is believed to be anywhere from 16 to 21 years old. She was about 5 feet 2 inches tall and had medium-length brown hair. She was wearing gray sweatpants and yellow underwear with a picture of a chicken that read Chicks Rule. She was also wearing a black string necklace with a crucifix.
According to the medical examiners office, the woman had an overbite with two protruding upper front teeth, police said.
A fisherman found the badly decomposed body about 8:30 a.m. Sunday near debris by the lake, police said.
Homicide Sgt. Kraig Fryer said police were trying to identify the woman. "We need to know who she is so we can learn what happened to her and how she died," he said. "Somewhere out there, there are family members and friends looking for this young woman. Now that we know she was murdered, we need to find the person responsible for this crime."
