Timothy Richard, 26, was last seen Sunday, but Beaumont police said he made a 911 call at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police said he pretended the dispatcher was a female friend, gave his location as 1176 Lamar street in Beaumont and hinted that he was around several men and a gun was involved.

Police responded to that location but it was not the address Richard was at.

Richard was riding a blue and white, 2005 Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle with Texas plates reading 830Z4B. He also had a blue helmet.

Anyone with information of Richard's wherabouts is urged to call Beaumont CrimeStoppers at 833-8477 or Eastex CrimeStoppers at 724-8477.

Volunteers will continue foot and water searches across portions of Jefferson County today to find a Port Arthur homicide victim's body.

Members of Dickinson-based Texas EquuSearch and other volunteers spent Saturday searching areas between Port Arthur and Beaumont for Timothy Richard, group case manager Cindy Wisdom said.

"We weren't successful (Saturday) in that we did not find Timothy, but we were successful in clearing several areas," Wisdom said.

But Timothy Richard's body has not yet been recovered, leading some to wonder how Brown can be charged with capital murder.

Beaumont Police Officer and spokeswoman Carman Apple said it's rare for murder charges to be filed without a body, but in this case, there is enough evidence to move forward.

"It does not happen that frequently and quite frankly, if we believe a homicide is committed, we do want to locate the victim. But there are times when it's not possible. This is one of those cases."

Timothy Richard was shot and killed with a .25-caliber handgun and fed to the alligators, the probable cause affidavit said.

KFDM News has learned Beaumont police are following a new lead in the search for a missing man.

For three months, authorities have been looking for the body of 26 year old Timothy Richard. He disappeared in October and officers believe he was killed. Now, Beaumont detectives have received a tip they hope leads them to the body.

Beaumont detectives and volunteers with Texas EquuSearch did not let the rainy weather keep them from searching a 6 block area in north Beaumont. Family and friends joined in the effort, searching block by block, looking through shrubbery, abandoned cars and vacant houses.

Investigators received the same tip from several different people, saying the area in north Beaumont is where Richard's body is located.

The body of Timothy Richard may have been found this afternoon, police said.

Texas EquuSearch volunteers found human remains at about 2:45 p.m. in a wooded area off Astor Street, Beaumont police spokeswoman Crystal Holmes said.

"We can't say for sure that it's (Richard) until it's confirmed conclusively with testing," she said. "But some of the items found around the scene indicate it might be him."

Texas EquuSearch volunteers were searching the area, working off a tip, Holmes said.
