I suppose he was left for dead due to an attack while they slept.

A Bessemer City grandmother was stabbed to death and her grandson was injured Monday morning when the two were attacked at their home.
Police later charged the woman's former boyfriend in the attack.

It said the boy was injured trying to protect his grandmother; he must have blacked up and then woke up to call for help. My prayers for him, such a horrible thing..

What a brave little boy. Such a horrific thing to go through, and now he's going to miss his Grandmom. I believe him that there was divine intervention.
