Intriguing connection to the name "Suzanne"!
I am confused by the charley project page..i thought Fort Bragg was in NC, not California?
It doesn't say if the doe had pierced ears..

If it was skeletal remains, I don't think they would know if ears were pierced unless they found two earrings. I am not sure about Fort Bragg. You are probably right since you are in CA (right?). Thanks for replying. :)
 
what about the age difference? Krebs was only 22 when she disappeared...that is over 10 years off.

It’s been 18 years since the skeletal remains of a woman were found near Interstate 10, and for the entire time her name and history have remained a mystery.

Now, investigators with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office hope new technology and social media will help them identify the woman found near the westbound entrance ramp at State Road 89 in Holt.

“Our main goal is just to ID her and give some closure to her family,” said Sheriff’s Investigator Travis Robinson. “She might have kids out there that still don’t know what happened to her or don’t know the truth. We just want to do whatever we can to get her information out there and close this case.”

On Sept. 14, 1994, a state prison worker found the woman’s remains. The only things on her were two large rings, a necklace with multiple pendants and the remnants of her clothing.

What about Karen Sue Laird from Tampa?

Jane Doe: "The victim was believed to have been hitch hiking. She is understood to have caught a ride from the Tampa Bay area."

Karen Sue: "Karen was last seen getting into a black Chevrolet Blazer with a 35 to 45 year old white male described as being 5'4" to 5'6" with thinning hair who presented himself as a long distance trucker."

If this UID is Karen and she was fleeing from whatever situation at home, she could have spun the alias of "Suzanne" or "Suzette" off her middle name, and she could have easily colored her hair to be less recognizable. Her age and height and weight fit; the only thing is that the UID's estimated date of death is June or July of 1994, and Karen Sue went missing on August 10, just over a month before our UID was discovered.
 
Karen Sue Laird is a good thought, and I wouldn't consider the August date of last contact a problem. However, she is listed in Charley and Doe as having worn full dentures, while the UID is described in her Doe Network entry as having signs of possible earlier orthodontic treatment and tooth #25 in labioversion. (Another case where having the dental chart restricted in NamUs now is a problem. No, no, I'm not still annoyed... :stormingmad: )

That said, it certainly wouldn't be unheard of for the full dentures information to be incorrect.

Ugh, thanks for catching the denture info. The disappointing reality of NamUs is that it's not the "one-stop shopping" that I wish it was. A good lesson: check all possible sources first!

As helpful as it may be to see dental charts, I wouldn't want a full listing of my own fillings and crowns blasted across the internet either, so I can see the privacy issue. That said, full dentures worn by someone so young is unusual and a strong identifying clue, so whoever entered Karen's NamUs profile could have specified that bit of info under Distinctive Features.

I guess it's possible, I'm not sure they know for certain that Mary actually went to Las Vegas. Her descriptors are all close. I wonder if like this UID Mary once had braces or wore that type of jewelry or dabbled with tarot cards. I don't remember the cards being mentioned in earlier articles or videos. Both Mary and this UID's DNA have been submitted and test complete. Would this rule her out? I can't remember if it necessarily would.

Mary's missing poster lists her boyfriends name. Someone by the same name and from the same state (KY) was convicted of murdering a man in 96 and he spent 11 years in the pen. I didn't see any mention of Mary when reading up on him so not sure if its the same guy.
 
What about Davette Kathryn Gaunt? She matches specs and I think Davette could be Suzette she was also known to go by Dee. She was last seen in 1993 and had the btown blonde hair. Thoughts?

I think its possible, she does have a similar look to my untrained eyes.

Davette went missing on new years day, with that there's always a chance she went missing voluntarily. We have a thread for her here and the last post in the thread makes me think they might have known her. the poster hasn't signed in for 4 years though.
