The body found by a church group about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday on the south shore, in a park just west of the dam, was that of an unidentified woman thought to be about 50, police Sgt. Paco Balderrama said.

Whose body is it?
Oklahoma City police are working to identify the body found Tuesday at the lake.

"We don't know what the official cause of death is yet, but due to the suspicious circumstances, it is being worked as a homicide,” Balderrama said.
The church group had gotten out of a van and was going for a walk when the body was spotted, Balderrama said. It appeared the body had only been there a short time, but police didn't know exactly how long. It didn't appear the body had ever been in the water, Balderrama said.

Body has been identified as Denise F. Stice, 48

Stice was the director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base. She served as a liaison between the Air Force and federal, state and local government agencies and related industry, Tinker Air Force Base spokesman Ralph Monson said.

The state medical examiner said today she died of a gunshot wound to the head.

It did not appear the body had been at the lake for more than a few hours. It also appeared the body was dumped there to conceal evidence about the killing, Balderrama said

The state medical examiner said Stice, 48, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators have no suspects in the slaying, but are interviewing people close to the woman, Balderrama said.

“We’re not ruling anybody out at this point,” Balderrama said. “We don’t know what happened to her, if she was kidnapped or what.”

Stice’s husband reported her missing Tuesday afternoon when she failed to show up for work, Balderrama said.

A formal missing-person report wasn’t filed because police immediately identified the victim based on the description the husband gave police.

It did not appear the body had been at the lake for more than a few hours. It also appeared the body was dumped there to conceal evidence about the killing, Balderrama said.

They obviously do not believe she was killed at the lake. Who would take the time to kill her and dump her body at the lake afterward instead of leaving her where she was shot? Her car was found in OKC, but they aren't saying where. It doesn't sound like a carjacking because they wouldn't take the time to move her.

She was found the same day she went missing. She was reported missing in the afternoon of Tuesday and they said they didnt even file a missing persons report because she matched the description of the body found earlier that morning. Would like to know if anyone seen her leave for work that morning besides the husband.

Duh! I don't know what I was thinking!

Yes, I would like to know who else saw her that morning, too. Did they have children?

Oklahoma City Police Sgt. Mike Veasey said authorities are searching for any witnesses who might have seen Stice after 6 p.m. on Nov. 26, 2007, the day before her body was found. He said police also want to learn the identity of a man who was spotted with Stice's car.

Veasey said that before Stice disappeared, she had visited a friend at the Sheraton Hotel in Midwest City. Stice left there about 6 p.m. and might have gone shopping, Veasey said.

The next morning, about the time her body was found, her car was seen at an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City. Veasey said witnesses saw a stocky, white man about 5-foot-8 exit the vehicle wearing a white button-down dress shirt, black slacks and cowboy boots.

Wow, it looks like everybody has just given up. Several links are either obsolete or have been deleted. I hope they find who did this. With a description of a POI, looks like it would have rec'd more publicity than this.
