Dean Meador found
From the Article on March 21st, 2008:
CLINTON, Iowa — Authorities believe a body found in the Mississippi River near Clinton this morning is that of a Lanark, Ill., fisherman who went missing in December near Savanna, Ill.
The Union Pacific Railroad bridge operator reported seeing what he believed to be a body in the river near the Beaver Channel Slough about 8 a.m. today, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
A tugboat from ARTCO Fleeting Services was able to retrieve the body from the river.
Identification found on the body has lead officials to believe it is that of Dean Meador, 77, who disappeared while ice fishing Dec. 13 just south of the former Savanna Army Depot.
