TX - Pamela Pruett, 45, Grand Prairie, Oct 2007
19 Dec 07
Family members say 45 year old Pam Pruitt vanished in the metroplex last month.
Officials said her ex-husband reported Pam as a missing person to Grand Prairie Police, after failing to show up for work.
"She was supposed to call us on the 28th of October and she never did. We were starting to get worried. We were calling her work and they were like she didn't show up, " Pam's 22 year old daughter Jennifer Klamath said.
Pam Pruett was living out of her car in an Arlington hotel, but working as a waitress in Grand Prairie. Her car turned up during a traffic stop---but she wasn't in it.
Police arrested the driver, 23 year old James Edwards, on unrelated charges. He told officers Pam let him use the car for money...something police say happens all the time on the streets.
Edwards is not considered a person of interest because no signs of a crime scene was found inside her car.
Pam's brother, Randy Pruett, lives in the Dallas area and said he found some of her stuff at pawn shops.
