Times Square confetti to carry messages

Messages and wishes for the new year from people around the world will float down on the New Year's Eve revelers in Times Square when the confetti is dropped.

For the first time, anyone can get a message printed on a piece of the multicolored confetti by visiting the Times Square Information Center or by using the Internet to type a message on a "Wishing Wall Online" http://tinyurl.com/2c5efd.

The message-carrying pieces will be mixed among the more than one ton of confetti, organizers said.

    On the Web:
    Times Square Alliance: http://www.timessquarenyc.org

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071230/ap_on_fe_st/odd_confetti_wishes&printer=1

We should all write Websleuths.com on confetti, lol.

I was going to do that, but the messages for the confetti had to be submitted by the 30th, and in person. Darn!

There's a "virtual" message center here though:

Very cool link, DK. Happy New Year!

A great time for some enterprising writer to go to Times Square to catch a few pieces and use a message or two for a story.

my message would read: In Peace.
