Cherokee Indian Police today said they are searching for a 34-year-old woman believed to be missing or endangered.
Lori Elizabeth Burtch of Three Springs Road, Sylva, was reported missing by co-workers at the Brushy Mountain Smokehouse in Cherokee. It is believed that Burch reported to work on Monday at approximately 3 a.m., but when co-workers arrived later that morning Burch was no where in the vicinity.
Burtch is 5-feet, 8-inches tall with brown hair, blue eyes and weighs approximately 160 lbs. Police believe she is wearing either a blue denim or gray polo shirt with Brushy Mountain Smokehouse and Creamery embroidered on the left chest and could be wearing black pants.

I don't know...this is the first I have read of this but I live near Sylva and something big was going on last night near my house. Every policeman in the county was at the rec center with blue lights flashing and a helicopter (news?) was flying overhead. I wonder if this is related to her case.
