    This case is strange..
Is her boyfriend listed as a missing person? And how old was he, considering he had a car? Was he ever considered a suspect?

In that area (California/Nevada) most middle-class kids have a car of their own or extensive access to one as soon as they turn 16 and it was the same back in the 1950's so the boyfriend may not have been much older than Redman. It's quite strange that no mention is made of the boyfriend's fate, it makes it difficult to suggest any theories as to what may have happened. The wording sort of suggests the boyfriend is missing as well but it's not clear. Would have to look up databases but since they're not even sure of which state Redman went missing from that may not lead anywhere.

    Hi
I tried to email a few people about this. But I have not heard an answer.May I please ask if they ever found the unidentified Jane Does remains in Arizona in 1958.they tried to match this Unidentified Jane Doe with connie smith. The unidentified seems to fit Donnis Marie Redman missing in 1958 from California last seen in Las Vegas Nevada. It says her boyfriends car was found in Williams Arizona. That is not far where this Unidentified Jane Does body was found near Grand Canyon National Park.Did they say what happened to her boyfriend?

I just happened to pass this girls picture on another site, and it reminded me of another unidentified jane doe.. But the dates are way off.. but I was wondering about how accurate the missing date is? if anyones talked to someone about the missing girl? because it seems other missing people from that time had black and white pictures ..this picture does not look that 'old' for some reason

It might have been taken with 35 millimeter slide film.
I saw some color photos of Buddy Holly taken in 1959 recently that looked like they were taken last tuesday.

Yeah, or the picture was either reprinted from the negative or had been been preserved in an album under an airtight plastic film. A few years ago I took some simple 8mm movie rolls that had been shot by my mother as a teen in the mid 1950's to a specialist for transfer on DVD and even he was amazed that they looked so new, he said this only happens when movie rolls aree stored in their metal container when still fresh and never exposed to light (implying never viewed) ever after. The movies, which had no sound, actually looked like they had been shot yesterday, image quality was crisp, colors were vibrant and accurate like on a current high-quality TV screen, I couldn't believe it. Later I saw real color pictures (not colorized) from 1916 that had those same qualities, and a bunch of WW2 color pictures reprinted from the carefully preserved original negatives that could almost compete with a digital camera. Often old photos look old because the chemicals on the surface of the print have changed over the years but if the negative has been properly stored the original quality can be restored. Most pocket cameras in the late 1950's could take good color pictures, while 35mm cameras produced the same excellent results they still do nowadays. However cost was an issue so this equipment was less ubiquitous as it is now.

With regards to Redman's photo above, her hairdo, makeup, and costume jewelry appear accurate for the period.

Yeah,I would totaly agree about the hair and makeup indicating it is a vintage '50's shot. Looks very simular to some of the late 50's photos ive seen of my aunts who were close to her same age in 1958.
She was a lovely girl.I find these old cold cases facinating but it also saddens me that when your talking about a case 40 plus years old the chance of an answer is alomost non existant baring a miracle.
But its also not unheard of so lets hope...

No Suzanne, the remains are still not been located. The Sheriff's office thinks they have found the cemetery but other UI are located there as well. To exhume all of them and test for DNA, comes down to money, I think.

It certainly could be Donnis Marie Redman, but we will not know unless they get found. Thanks for asking about Connie Smith and Donnis.

They may very well do an article eventually. They just did an article for Anthony Tumolo.

    More Information

Does anyone have further background information about Donnis Redman besides what is listed below? I did contact LE but the detective I spoke to was less than helpful. More like I was a bother then a help.

Has anyone found news articles about her disappearance or what happened to the boyfriend. Are they both still missing? It is really disturbing to have such scant information to go on.

    Update information

"Redman" is not the correct spelling of her last name, it is Redmond.

In addition, the name of the boyfriend, who by the way, is reported to have never been found, was Michael James Griffin.

I wonder if there was ever a missing person report put out for him? I have not checked any of the usual places yet. Has anyone gotten anything further with this cold case?
