TX - Taylor Wiseman, 12, Baylor County, 27 Dec 2007

    12 Jan 08

The disappearance of 12-year-old Taylor Wiseman on Dec. 27 at Lake Kemp has dredged up memories of the numerous drowning deaths that occurred in North Texas in 2007.

Wiseman was at the Flippen Creek area of the lake two days after Christmas when he went outside shortly before 2 p.m.

He hasnít been seen since, and the coat he was wearing was discovered in the water the following day.

The body of a 12-year-old boy was found in a lake nearly two months after he disappeared and apparently drowned while there to look at birds.

A Wilbarger County game warden found Taylor Wiseman's body Thursday in thick brush in a cove at Lake Kemp. There were no signs of foul play and an autopsy is pending, warden Donnie Fitts said.

Friends and family of a Texoma boy who went missing in 2007 are remembering him this week in Seymour.

Twelve-year old Taylor Wiseman went missing on December 27th, and 50 days later he was found at the bottom of Lake Kemp. He would have graduated last weekend from Seymour High School.

It was around Christmas time in 2007 when Taylor went missing, and the Jowers didn't see it coming.

"Charity works as a home health attendant at Lake Kemp, Texas and Taylor used to go out there all of the time and just hang out at the lake. And he went outside apparently to look at a brown sand crane while she was working and she didn't think anything of it, then they couldn't find him," Jeremy Jowers, Taylor's dad said.
