A teddy bear shrine has grown on the front steps of the house where 24-year-old Gina Hunt and her 23-month-old son Jordan were shot along with 24-year-old Andrea Yarrell with her 4-month-old daughter Charlii. The children died in their mother's arms.

We are killing each other," said Sheriff Frank Anderson. "And when we start killing babies, that's enough."

We will not stop," he said. "I promise you, I promise you, I promise you. We will not stop until we put these people, and I said it earlier - for lack of a better word - put the dogs in the cage."

Police say someone shot and killed Gina Hunt and Andrea Yarrell, both 24, as well as Hunt's infant son, Jordan, and Andrea's four-month-old daughter Charlii. Hunt, Yarrell and Hunt's son died at the scene. Charlii Yarrell was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police believe the babies were shot in their mother's arms.

Police say Gina Hunt and Andrea Yarrell, both 24, and Hunt's 23-month-old son Jordan, died at the scene. Charlii Yarrell, a four-month-old baby girl, was pronounced dead at 1:33 a.m. after being transported in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds to Methodist Hospital.
Police are certain that the babies were shot in their mothers' arms. They found a small amount of marijuana, guns and a safe in the home and believe the suspects, two men, fled on foot.

:furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: :furious: My mom called to tell me this as I have not been watching my local news, due to watching updates on Marias case.I have said this for over a year now, but Indy is going mad. Why in the Heck kill a 18month old baby and a 4 month old.

No arrests were made after Gina Hunt told police two armed men broke into the home in the 3200 block of Hovey Street on Sept. 27 and threatened to shoot her, the baby she was holding and another woman and child. The men left without harming the four

and

Police had not identified suspects by late Tuesday. Sheriff Frank Anderson asked the public to help police find the killers and vowed to track them down “like dogs.” (I hope he is true to his word)

Police are looking for two unidentified men seen running from a home where two women and two children were fatally shot Monday night, and Sheriff Frank Anderson on Tuesday said Indianapolis police won't rest until they arrest whoever killed the four."I can only say there's a special place in hell for you, and we're going to see that you get there," Anderson said, referring to the gunman or gunmen.

Oh, this is horrible and sick. There is no hope for a person if they can simply shoot a baby.

Indy, please be careful with the cases you are involved in here. Read some happy articles too. :blowkiss:

I thought of that last night Taxi, LOL. I read a lot in the jury room now, but just couldnt get past this one.

This is terrible, those poor innocent babies. What could have possibly happened to make someone want to do something like this?

I'm always upset whenever I read about the murder of any child, but this one just really gets me. They were babies. What kind of a person can shoot two babies in cold blood. One was an infant, only 4 months old. :( Seeing their beautiful smiling faces in the pictures makes it even more heartbreaking. :(

How awful!!!! I always think nothing would shock me anymore, and sadly, something always does.

everytime they flashed the pics of the Moms and the beautiful babies,
I felt physically sick.
No sense.
I am so angry at the SO's of these women. I fear they were in to drugs
and put these women and thier babies at great risk.
The attempted robberies, the drugs found in the home, I am so afraid that
who ever did this were sending a message to the SO's. These woman
paid a very high price for who they were involved with.
The cowards that took thier lifes and to me the cowards that brought this
into thier lives.
This is all my opinion.

this article describes the drugs the arrests of one of SO's and the previous break in.
All so sad.

This is horrific. No words.

I wonder what will happen to Hunt's other 2 children.

Well I guess this is what can happen when women live a high risk lifestyle - drugs in the home, druggie boyfriends, etc. Once again innocent children are paying the price for the choices of their mothers.

Marie i was going to give the moms the benifit of doubt until I read this.

Two handguns were found within a block of the house where the killings occurred, said Sgt. Matthew Mount, a police spokesman.
A set of scales, several weapons, a safe and one pound of a what is believed to be marijuana were found in the house, Talley-Sanders said. She said police had been called to the home three times in 2007 to investigate reports of armed robbery, burglary of a resident and a stolen vehicle.

why do women put their children at risk like this. Pizzes me off to no end!!!

Exactly IndyGal. No way those moms didn't know the risks they were taking on behalf of their children. Pizzes me off too! As far as I'm concerned if you want to play then be prepared to pay - but you have no right to make your children pay for you!

I agree with you Marie. It's sad, but these woman did put their children in danger by living this type of lifestyle. I don't understand it.

How do you break through to young women and let them see what WE see? How do you raise daughters, and hopefully sons, to understand that there is no honor in living a life that invovles drugs. Do they do it for the money? They don't seem to be living the life that is portrayed in the movies, IMHO. Do they do it because it is "cool" to be using or dealing in drugs? Why is that considered cool? It is disgusting, and dishonorable. I think society has lost it's sense of honor. With honor, you don't have drugs around your children, and with honor, you don't shoot women with thier babies in their arms. I guess the only way I can understand the need for the drugs, is to try and comprehend what it would be like to go home and try to sleep after shooting a baby in it's mother's arms.....I would need drugs every night for the rest of my life if I had done something that dishonorable. Shame, shame, shame.

It doesn't look like the killer/killers were after drugs because they left them behind unless there was something else there besides pot and they were after that. It sounds like they just burst in and shot the mom and babies and took off. I wonder if there were any ex's in their lives that had been bothering them or if they had any idea who the men were that had burst through the door before? Maybe some druggie had gotten ripped off by the women or their boyfriends and it was pay back time. It takes a person or people with cold hearts to shoot babies so they probably do sleep well at night. I just hope they are found out. Those beautiful little babies deserve justice.

As long as people are mixed up in drugs we will see this happen again and again. There are so many murders over drugs and because of drugs.
