Skeletal remains of a body were found Monday at a lot in the Carriage Town neighborhood of Flint.
Investigators from the State Police Crime Lab were at the scene, carefully removing the remains from the lot at Third Street and Stone in the heart of the city.
State Police investigators were called in by Flint police around 1:30 p.m. Construction crews who were building a new home on the site found the skeletal remains.
A Flint police sergeant said the bones were sitting about 3 feet underground near what was the porch of a home that used to sit on the site.
