MI - Dewayne Fletcher, 40, Flint, 23 Jan 2008
19 Feb 08
It's been nearly four weeks since Dewayne Fletcher called home to say he was leaving work soon.
He never made it.
"It's not making sense how he just dropped off the face of the Earth," said his niece, Valentina Wilson of Redford.
Fletcher, 40, worked his second-shift security job at Genesee Packaging North in Flint on Jan. 23 and told his fiancee, Tamara Nunley, he would leave sometime after 11:30 p.m.

He left his state identification card at home but still had a bus pass and security badge that each had his name and photo.
Diagnosed as bi-polar several years ago, Fletcher takes medication but Nunley said he has never disappeared for days before.
"It's out of character," said Nunley, adding he is likely out of medicine by now.

Today, the family of local missing man spoke out, saying they are certain the body is that of 40-year-old Dewayne Fletcher. Fletcher has been missing since January.
The body was found around 8 a.m. near the White Building on the campus of the University of Michigan-Flint.
Police met with Fletcher's family Friday afternoon to try and locate dental records or something that could be used to identify him or point investigators in another direction.
There were no signs of blunt trauma or anything to indicate there was foul play, but officers did find an ID badge bearing Fletcher's name.
