A search for a missing Salem man was conducted in south Lincoln County over the weekend after the man's car was found Friday on Highway 34 in the Five Rivers area.
Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Abby Dorsey located the vehicle, and a check on the registration revealed that it belonged to Russell Sisson, 44, who had been reported as a missing person. Earlier in the week, Sisson had reportedly told his wife that he was taking a drive. He last contacted her on Wednesday, Feb. 13, saying he was at the coast and was on his way home to Salem.
Sisson did not return home that evening, and so a missing person report was filed with the Salem Police Department. A search of the vehicle and surrounding area was conducted by several deputies, but they found no sign Sisson.
