AL - Marilynne Walker, 69, Foley, 21 Feb 2008
23 Feb 08
The search resumed this morning for 69 year old Marilynne Walker, who reportedly walked away from her home around 5:00pm Thursday night.
Searchers are using a special side-scan sonar to search several lakes in the area.
Her husband, Jim, says the couple moved to Foley just a month ago from Illinois and that his wife was unhappy with her life in Foley.
According to Walker, his wife took a .38 caliber pistol, an Alabama driver's license and two credit cards with her.
Police say there's no indication of foul play, but that they haven't ruled it out completely.

Search Scaled Back
Walker's husband of forty years, Jim Walker, says he hopes she's found safe. "If you got a picture of her publish it on the news and if anybody sees her grab her, pull her in and bring her to the local authorities so I can get her back to me,"Said Walker's husband.
While Mr. Walker worries about his wife's safety he says when she went missing Thursday evening, so did her .38 caliber pistol. He says she bought it years ago for protection. "She was almost robbed and killed and possibly raped one time in the state of Illinois," Said Mr. Walker.
Where he says he and his wife were planning to move back to, after living in Foley for only a month. Authorities say at this point, anything is possible.
"Surely we're hoping to find her alive but after the first 24 hours chances of survival drop by fifty percent, "Said Deputy Chief Bishop.
