Missing since February 11, 1988 from Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii.
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: April 10, 1975
Age at Time of Disappearance: 12 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 4'11; 75 pounds
DIstinguishing Characteristics: Asian female. She is Chinese. Black hair; brown eyes.
Dentals: Li's teeth were slightly crooked at the time of her disappearance. Her baby teeth had only partially grown in.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Li was last seen selling benefit chili tickets door-to-door near the 7-Eleven store on Nuuanu Avenue and Kuakini Street in the Nuuanu area of Oahu island in Hawaii on February 11, 1988.
Born in China, she moved with her family to US in 1985.
Foul play is suspected.

Li's mother says time has not dulled the pain much. It's been almost 26 years and she still has a difficult time talking about her daughter's disappearance.
"She's kept the same phone number all of these years, so that she would get that phone call," she says through her translator.
The Missing Child Center of Hawaii has done 'age progression' drawings of Li. Showing what she might look like at 27 years old and again at 38. "The reality of seeing a photo of what her daughter might look like, she cried for days," says the translator.

I grew up on O'ahu, and there are parts of Nu'uanu that are very dicey. I never liked being in the Nu'uanu area, I just never felt safe there. The person of interest in Li's case seems very suspicious, and I can only wonder why he broke into a police officer's home, armed, after being questioned about her disappearance.
