Missing Since: February 1, 1990 from Fort Walton Beach, Florida
Classification: Endangered Missing
Date Of Birth: April 24, 1976
Age: 13 years old
Height and Weight: 5'3, 110 pounds
Distinguishing Characteristics: Caucasian female. Blonde hair, green eyes. Durham's ears are pierced. Her middle name is given as "Dianne" by some agencies.

Details of Disappearance

Durham was last seen leaving her family's apartment in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, which she shared with her mother and older sister. She left at approximately 7:30 p.m. on February 1, 1990. She has never been seen again. When Durham's family returned to their residence they found it unlocked. Durham's purse, clothes, makeup and all other personal belongings were undisturbed inside.

Agencies classify Durham's case as that of an Endangered Runaway or a possible Non-Family Abduction. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear; there is very little evidence as to her fate. Authorities originally thought she was a runaway, but she has not called or written any of her family and friends since her disappearance.

Police have investigated the possibility that Durham's disappearance was connected to Mark Riebe and William Alex Wells III, who are suspected of having kidnapped and murdered a woman in Santa Rosa, Florida, in 1989. So far they have not found any link between Durham and the suspects but the possibility has not been ruled out. Investigators believe Durham remained in the area for a short time after she disappeared, but if she was on the streets she probably did not survive long. Many rumors have circulated about Durham's disappearance but none have been substantiated.

Durham's mother believes she is deceased. She and her husband moved to Santa Cruz, California in August 1999. Durham's mother cited the need to move on from her daughter's disappearance as the reason for the relocation. Durham remains missing and her case is unsolved.
